Sherman Hamilton, President & CEO

A veteran marketer, Sherman Hamilton has 25+ years experience creating and managing organizational marketing and public relations programs in Denver, CO and Washington, D.C. Highly skilled at developing strategic marketing initiatives for midsized businesses, federal and public sector clients, Hamilton began his career with KUSA 9 Denver as an on-air reporter. He soon joined Time Warner Cable where he managed community and shareholder relations in support of several expanding cable television franchises. In that capacity he was responsible for briefing and updating the media, addressing local political stakeholders, directing community relations activities, and helping successfully manage the competing demands of a local board of directors. During his career at Time, Hamilton managed successful public information/relations assignments in Indianapolis, Kansas City, New Orleans and Denver.

Immediately prior to founding Virtegic in 2001, Hamilton served as SR/VP Marketing at TMP Worldwide, Washington, D.C. which is among the nation's largest marketing communication firms. There he headed a major profit center that included marketing and advertising initiatives for a number of government agencies and "Beltway" technology companies, including Monster.com, MCI and GSA. At Virtegic he has led research, marketing and public relations activities on behalf of Community College of Denver, HUD, RTD FasTracks, and the U.S. Census Bureau.

A graduate of Metro State University of Denver with an emphasis on Mass Communication, Hamilton completed the Executive Management Program at the prestigious Tuck School of Business; Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. He also completed the branding certification program at the now defunct Ries-Trout Institute of Branding. He is an active member of the Conference on Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), and has taught entrepreneurship and small business marketing in Denver and Washington, D.C. A Vietnam-era veteran, Hamilton's hobbies include exploring America by train and playing guitar.
